As the world?s largest religious gathering, the Maha Kumbh Mela, kicks off in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, the local traffic authorities have laid out detailed plans to ensure the smooth movement of vehicles and the safety of millions of pilgrims attending the event. For first-time visitors, it's essential to familiarize yourself with the parking, entry, and exit points to navigate the Mela area efficiently.
The Uttar Pradesh Traffic Police have designated specific routes and parking areas for vehicles coming from different parts of the state and beyond, while the entry and exit points to the Mela have also been carefully mapped out.

Entry and Exit Routes at the Sangam Mela Area
- Entry Route to Sangam: Devotees will enter from GT Jawahar, move towards Kali Road, use the Kali Ramp, and walk via the Sangam Upper Route to reach the sacred confluence.
- Exit Route from Sangam: After taking the holy dip, devotees will exit through the Akshayvat route and follow the Interlocking Return Route via Triveni Marg.
Important Information for Devotees
The Maha Kumbh Mela will run until February 26, 2025. Key bathing rituals or Shahi Snan are scheduled on the following dates:
