Amid the nation’s deepening grief over the deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, leaders from West Bengal, Haryana, and Gujarat confirmed the loss of lives from their respective states and extended support to the victims' families.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday said that three residents of the state were among those killed in the violence in Jammu and Kashmir. “Three persons from our State - Bitan Adhikari (of Baishnabghata, Kolkata), Samir Guha (Sakher Bazar, Kolkata), and Manish Ranjan (Jhalda, Purulia) - have died in the most unfortunate Kashmir violence," Banerjee said in a statement.

She added that arrangements were being made at Delhi Airport to assist the bereaved families upon their arrival. "All arrangements are being put up by our administration at Delhi Airport to help the family members of the victims and their onward journey to Kolkata. Flight is likely to arrive Kolkata at 8.30 pm today,” she stated.

In Haryana, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini reached out to the family of Vinay Narwal, a resident of the state who also lost his life in the terror strike. Expressing sorrow, the Chief Minister assured the bereaved family of the state's full support in this time of grief.

From Gujarat, Health Minister Rushikesh Patel confirmed that three people from the state had died in the attack, while two others were injured and undergoing treatment in Anantnag. “The central government is helping to get their body back to the state, and also helping to look after the two injured people who are in Anantnag now. We are trying to get back the remaining Gujarati tourists as well,” Patel said, adding, “The central government is prepared to take action against this incident.”
