In response to the tragic terror attack in Pahalgam, the Jammu and Kashmir government has declared a financial assistance package for the victims and their families. The state government will provide an ex-gratia of ₹10 lakh for each of the families who lost their loved ones in the attack. Additionally, ₹2 lakh will be given to each of the injured victims as part of the compensation.
The announcement follows the brutal attack, which claimed the lives of 26 people, mostly tourists, and left several others injured. The financial support aims to provide immediate relief to the affected families and individuals during this difficult period.
Jammu and Kashmir's Chief Minister has expressed condolences to the victims' families and assured them that the state government will continue to assist them in every possible way.
