The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has officially declared the Class 12 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) results for 2025. Students can now access their results on the Maharashtra board’s official websites, including mahresult.nic.in.

This year’s overall pass percentage stood at an impressive 91.88%, with girls once again outperforming boys. Girls recorded a pass percentage of 94.58%, while boys achieved 89.51%.

Stream-Wise Performance

According to the data released by MSBSHSE:

• Science stream registered a stellar pass rate of 97.35%.
• Commerce stream recorded 92.38%.
• Arts stream saw a relatively lower pass percentage of 80.52%.
• The vocational stream had a pass percentage of 83.26%.

Private and Special Category Students

• 83.73% of private candidates cleared the exam. Out of 36,133 registered, 35,697 appeared and 29,892 passed.
• Among the 7,310 differently-abled candidates, 7,258 appeared, and 6,705 cleared the exam, recording a 92.38% pass rate.

Additional Highlights

• Out of 154 subjects offered this year, 37 subjects achieved a 100% pass rate.
• The HSC exams were conducted earlier this year, from February 11 to March 11, 2025.
• More than 15 lakh students appeared for the HSC exams, including 6.94 lakh girls, 8.10 lakh boys, and 37 transgender students.
