Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday addressed a massive public rally in Bihar, where he invoked the 150th anniversary of India’s national song Vande Mataram and urged people to reject the politics of “Jungle Raj.” He said that Bihar has transitioned from darkness to development under the joint leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Addressing the crowd, Adityanath said, “It is an auspicious day today. India's national song, Vande Mataram, has completed 150 years... You must have seen the jungle raj in Bihar. Those who have seen the jungle raj, hooliganism, corruption, and anarchy in Bihar before 2005, I appeal to them to tell their present generation about it.”
Criticising the opposition, he warned voters against returning to the era of chaos and lawlessness that once plagued the state. “This is not the time for the lantern,” Yogi declared, taking a dig at the Rashtriya Janata Dal’s (RJD) party symbol.
Highlighting the progress achieved under the NDA government, he said, “Under the leadership of Nitish Kumar and the vision of PM Modi, Bihar has moved forward to build a strong foundation of good governance in LED lighting.”
