Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav extended his party’s support to the protest organized by the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) against the Waqf Amendment Bill. Addressing the gathering, Yadav reaffirmed RJD’s commitment to opposing the bill, both inside and outside the legislature.
"Our party Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), our leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, despite being ill… are here to support you. We don't care about being in power, and we will strongly oppose this non-constitutional bill. We opposed this bill in Parliament and Assembly too," said Tejashwi Yadav.
The protest witnessed participation from various political and religious leaders who expressed concerns over the bill’s impact on Waqf properties and minority rights. The opposition, particularly the RJD, has maintained that the bill undermines constitutional provisions and targets a specific community.

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), however, has defended the bill, stating that it aims to ensure transparency and prevent illegal encroachments on Waqf land. The debate over the bill has intensified, with opposition parties like the RJD vowing to challenge it at every stage.
