In a dramatic turn of events, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his wife were seen escorting his elderly parents out of their residence, signaling their readiness to face an ongoing police investigation related to the Swati Maliwal 'assault' case. The move comes amid reports that the Delhi Police might question Kejriwal's parents, sparking a significant political and public response.

A video capturing this moment has rapidly gone viral on social media. In the footage, Kejriwal is seen holding his father's hand as they exit their home, with his wife, Sunita Kejriwal, walking alongside her mother-in-law. AAP minister Atishi is also visible in the background, emphasizing the support from party members.

Posting the video on X, Kejriwal tweeted, ?Modiji, please look at @ArvindKejriwal's sick and old parents, do you think they have committed any crime? Your fight is with @ArvindKejriwal why is Modi ji getting their old parents harassed by the police? The whole country is watching your atrocities, the public will answer you.?

Despite the viral video and public statements, reports indicate that the Delhi Police may not visit Kejriwal's residence on Thursday to question his parents as initially expected. This follows Kejriwal's announcement on Wednesday that the police intended to interrogate his elderly and ailing parents the following day.

In the midst of these developments, Kejriwal's close aide Bibhav Kumar was arrested in connection with the case. While police are expected to visit Kejriwal's residence for questioning in the coming days, they did not do so on Thursday. There is also speculation that Kejriwal himself might be questioned soon.

In another post on X, Kejriwal expressed his frustration, stating in Hindi, "I am waiting for the police with my parents and wife. Yesterday the police called and asked for time to interrogate my parents. But they have not yet given any information about whether they will come or not." The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of using police to harass Kejriwal's parents.

"Ever since Arvind Kejriwal was granted bail, BJP has freaked out. They are attacking and conspiring against Arvind Kejriwal and AAP. But today, after summoning the parents of Arvind Kejriwal for questioning by Delhi Police, they have crossed all the limits," stated Atishi, reflecting the party's stance.
