Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched a fierce attack on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a rally in Aurangabad on Tuesday, accusing them of betraying the state’s youth and manipulating elections for political gain.
Rahul Gandhi alleged that CM Nitish Kumar is “working on directions from Delhi” and has “destroyed employment opportunities for Bihar’s youth.” He charged the NDA government with reducing the state’s young population to daily wage labourers. “Question paper leaks have become routine in Bihar, only helping students from rich families,” he said.
Taking aim at the Prime Minister, the Congress MP claimed that Narendra Modi wants to keep India’s youth distracted through social media. “PM Modi wants the youth to stay busy making reels on Instagram and Facebook. This is the new ‘nasha’ (addiction) of the 21st century. He wants the youth distracted so they don’t question him about education, health, or employment,” Gandhi declared.
He further accused the BJP leadership of electoral malpractice, saying, “PM Modi and Amit Shah know they cannot win in Bihar, so they are resorting to ‘vote chori’ (vote theft). They did it in Maharashtra, Haryana, and even in the Lok Sabha elections. But the people of Bihar are vigilant—no one can steal their votes.”
