Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a fierce attack on the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) during his election rally in Raxaul on Friday, accusing the party of plunging Bihar into an era of lawlessness and chaos during its rule.

Recalling the state of affairs in Bihar between 1990 and 2005, Yogi said, “More than 60 incidents of caste massacres took place in Bihar. More than 30,000 abductions took place…” He alleged that the return of RJD symbolised the return of corruption, crime, and fear in the state.

Taking a direct dig at the RJD’s election symbol, Yogi remarked, “These people who have come back today with lanterns, they are not lanterns — they were certificates of robbery for them.”
