In a fierce critique of the Maharashtra government, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has harshly criticized Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis for his perceived insensitivity and lack of accountability following a disturbing incident in Badlapur. Thackeray?s remarks reflect growing public outrage over the handling of the case involving the torture of young girls at a local school.

Speaking to reporters, Thackeray expressed his frustration with the current administration, stating, ?An insensitive government is sitting in the state, and it does not take people for granted. Such a big incident happened, and the Home Minister is not ready to take any responsibility. I don?t know where the Home Minister is.?

The controversy erupted after reports of severe mistreatment of girls at a school in Badlapur led to widespread protests across the city and state. Despite the gravity of the situation, Thackeray accused both the Home Minister and Chief Minister of neglecting their duties. ?Even though the people of the city were protesting on the streets, the Home Minister and the Chief Minister did not move there. That is why Uddhav Thackeray criticized them,? he said.

Thackeray further criticized the police force, shifting some blame to those who exert pressure on them. ?It?s not all the police's fault. Those who put pressure on them are responsible. What does the Commissioner of Police do? They should know what is happening in their area of work,? he argued. He pointed out that had the authorities acted on the complaints earlier, the incident might have been prevented.

Thackeray also took aim at the Chief Minister, accusing him of neglecting his duties in favor of personal activities. ?Find out where the Chief Minister was on Rakshabandhan. The Chief Minister was visiting Ratnagiri. How shameless is this?? Thackeray said. He questioned the government?s commitment to public safety, referring to past incidents where Fadnavis had downplayed demands for resignation by comparing them to trivial matters.

The Shiv Sena leader?s remarks highlighted the stark contrast between political promises and the realities of governance. ?When our Abhishek Ghosalkar was killed, we asked him (Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis) to resign. At that time, he had said very cruelly that even if a dog comes under the car, you will ask for our resignation,? Thackeray recalled.

In light of these issues, Thackeray called for public vigilance and action. ?I am once again appealing to all the people of Maharashtra that no matter who brings any politician, now we have to come forward to protect the girls in our homes,? he urged.

Thackeray?s passionate plea underscores the urgent need for accountability and effective action from the state?s leadership, reflecting the growing frustration of citizens demanding justice and improved governance.
