Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is once again in the spotlight after allegedly refusing to appear before the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) in a ₹2,000 crore classroom construction scam case.
Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa launched a scathing attack on Sisodia, accusing him of defying accountability. “Manish Sisodia was summoned today by the ACB in connection with a ₹2,000 crore classroom scam. However, he arrogantly refused to appear, claiming he is 'very busy.' But he’s neither Deputy CM, nor MP, nor MLA, not even a councillor. So what’s he busy with?” Sirsa questioned.
The ACB had reportedly summoned Sisodia for questioning regarding financial irregularities in the construction of classrooms under the Delhi government’s education department during his tenure. The agency suspects major cost inflation and irregular awarding of contracts.
