'The Only Way To Protect Our Sisters And Daughters Is To Throw Out The TMC Regime': BJP’s CR Kesavan Blasts Mamata Banerjee Over Kolkata Law Student Gangrape

In a blistering condemnation of the Mamata Banerjee government, BJP spokesperson CR Kesavan has accused the West Bengal Chief Minister of failing women across the state after the alleged gangrape of a law student in a government-affiliated college in Kolkata.

Kesavan called the crime “ghastly” and highlighted that one of the prime accused is reportedly an active member of the TMC student council, raising disturbing questions about political influence and security lapses.

“The dignity and security of our sisters and daughters are facing serious threat under Mamata Banerjee's misrule and TMC regime,” he said, pointing out the irony that Banerjee herself is a woman, holding both the Chief Minister and Home Minister portfolios, yet unable to prevent such a horrific assault on campus.

Kesavan demanded answers on how a TMC-affiliated individual could maintain such sway in a college he no longer attended. “How does a TMC member have such unfettered access to a college where he's no longer a part of, and how can he summon students at will like this?” he asked.

He also condemned the statements made by senior TMC figures after the incident, calling them “appalling” and “incorrigible,” and argued that these attitudes reflected a total lack of empathy toward victims.

“The only way to ensure and protect the sisters and daughters of West Bengal is to throw out this TMC regime, which the people will do,” Kesavan asserted, striking a defiant note.
