Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on Tuesday expressed disappointment over the Supreme Court’s rejection of the plea alleging discrepancies in the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections, but vowed that the fight against alleged electoral rigging would continue.
Speaking to the media, Raut said: “This does not mean that our fight is over. Whether it is Bihar or Maharashtra, we will continue to raise our voice against the rigging that has occurred and will continue to occur in the elections. The fight to save democracy never stops.”
He criticized the conduct of the Maharashtra polls, claiming irregularities in voter turnout. “Everyone knows how the elections in Maharashtra were hijacked, with many voters arriving at the polling booth after 5 pm. Where did they come from? We are asking for the CCTV footage, but they are not giving us,” Raut added.
