Tejashwi Yadav Alleges Vote Theft In Bihar, Says Election Boycott Is An Option

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav, on Wednesday made explosive allegations against the electoral process in the state, claiming that large-scale vote theft is underway. Speaking to the media, Yadav said that the situation has reached a point where boycotting the election is being seriously considered by his party and alliance partners.

"The theft of votes is definitely happening and we have every option available to us," said Yadav. "When there's fraud, when there's open theft, when democracy is being destroyed, when the rights of the poor are being snatched, when injustice is being done openly, then election boycott is absolutely an option for us. We will discuss this with our people, our party workers, and leaders of our alliance."

His statement comes amid rising tensions in Bihar ahead of the upcoming municipal and assembly bypolls. The RJD and its allies have repeatedly accused the ruling NDA government and local authorities of manipulating electoral rolls and misusing administrative machinery to suppress opposition votes.

Tejashwi’s remarks are being seen as a warning to the Election Commission and the ruling establishment. He emphasized that the opposition will not remain silent while, in his words, “democracy is being strangled in broad daylight.”
