In a dramatic turn of events, Shiv Sena UBT MP Sanjay Raut has fired back at Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) chief Prakash Ambedkar, who recently asserted that the true Shiv Sena belongs to Eknath Shinde. During a heated press conference in Delhi on Tuesday, Raut didn't hold back, challenging Ambedkar's comments and questioning his understanding of the political landscape.

Raut, representing Uddhav Thackeray's faction of Shiv Sena, argued that Ambedkar, as the torchbearer of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar's legacy, should show respect for this heritage. "If Ambedkar believes that Shiv Sena belongs to Shinde, he should study law more closely," Raut said, emphasizing that the political terrain has seen multiple splinter parties emerging from Ambedkar's party, now under different leaderships, including Ramdas Athawale's faction.

Adding fuel to the fire, Raut discussed Uddhav Thackeray's ongoing visit to Delhi. Thackeray is set to engage in critical meetings with Congress leaders and interact with Marathi journalists over the next two days. Raut's comments seem to be aimed at underscoring the relevance and influence of Thackeray?s faction amidst the ongoing political turmoil.

Ambedkar's remarks came as part of his 'Aaraskshan Bachao Yatra,' where he argued that the Shiv Sena UBT, led by Uddhav Thackeray, secured votes from reservation advocates and Muslims. He highlighted that Shinde's faction had a superior strike rate in the Lok Sabha elections compared to Thackeray's, suggesting that Shiv Sainiks now view Shinde?s faction as the authentic Shiv Sena.

Ambedkar also unveiled a Third Front, which influenced results in key constituencies such as Akola, Beed, Buldhana, Hatkanangle, and Mumbai North West. Despite supporting candidates in these areas, the impact was limited, and Ambedkar himself faced a loss in Akola to BJP's Anup Dhotre. The election results showed Dhotre with 457,030 votes, Patil with 416,404 votes, and Ambedkar trailing with 276,747 votes.

The confrontation between Raut and Ambedkar has ignited a fierce debate about party legitimacy and legacy, leaving political observers eager to see how these tensions will influence Maharashtra?s political landscape in the coming months.
