Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has been admitted to hospital after he complained of low heart rate, senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and the party’s Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia said on Saturday.
Speaking to the media after meeting the Chief Minister, Sisodia informed, “Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has been admitted to the hospital after he complained of low heart rate... His condition is stable now. There is no need to worry. Doctors have advised him to stay in the hospital for 2-3 more days.”
Despite being under medical care, CM Mann has decided to continue discharging his responsibilities. Sisodia added that the Chief Minister has instructed officials to hold meetings in the hospital itself, with a focus on providing relief to people affected by the recent floods in Punjab.
Mann’s hospitalisation comes at a time when Punjab is grappling with flood-related challenges, which have disrupted lives and livelihoods across several districts. His decision to stay engaged with governance, even while undergoing treatment, is being viewed as a message of reassurance to the state’s residents.
