As India steps into the festive season, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called on citizens to celebrate with a spirit of nationalism and self-reliance by supporting Indian-made products and acknowledging the efforts of millions of hardworking citizens who fuel the nation’s growth.

In a message shared on social media platform X, the Prime Minister said, “Let’s mark this festive season by celebrating the hard work, creativity, and innovation of 140 crore Indians.” Emphasising the importance of promoting local craftsmanship and businesses, he added, “Let’s buy Indian products and say — Garv Se Kaho Yeh Swadeshi Hai.”

The Prime Minister also encouraged people to share details of their festive purchases on social media to inspire others to follow the Swadeshi path. “Do also share what you bought on social media. This way you will inspire others to also do the same,” he wrote.

Modi’s message is a continuation of his long-standing ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative, which aims to boost domestic industries, empower artisans, and strengthen India’s manufacturing ecosystem. With the festive rush picking up across the country, his appeal seeks to remind consumers that every local purchase contributes to the livelihood of fellow Indians.
