Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday virtually inaugurated 10 new government medical colleges in Maharashtra, while taking a strong dig at the Congress party. During his address, Modi accused Congress of dividing society along caste lines, stating that it "leaves no stone unturned to incite fighting among Hindus."

Criticizing Congress's political approach, the Prime Minister said, "Congress is failing the Sanatan concept of 'Sarvajan Hitaye, Sarvajan Sukhaye.' Congress fights elections on completely communal and casteist lines. Dividing the Hindu society and making it their winning formula is the basis of Congress's politics. Congress is suppressing the Indian tradition of 'Sarvajan Hitaye - Sarvajan Sukhaye', it is suppressing the Sanatan tradition."

The new medical colleges inaugurated by Modi are located in Mumbai, Nashik, Jalna, Amravati, Gadchiroli, Buldhana, Washim, Bhandara, Hingoli, and Ambernath (Thane). In addition to the medical colleges, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stones for several major projects, collectively worth Rs 7,600 crore.

Among the significant projects, Modi announced the upgradation of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur, with an estimated cost of around Rs 7,000 crore. This development aims to spur growth across sectors such as manufacturing, aviation, tourism, logistics, and healthcare, benefiting not just Nagpur but the entire Vidarbha region.

Moreover, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for a new integrated terminal building at Shirdi Airport, valued at over Rs 645 crore. The project is expected to enhance tourist facilities in Shirdi, a major pilgrimage site.

Addressing these initiatives, Modi said, ?Today, Maharashtra is getting the gift of 10 medical colleges. The foundation stone of the upgradation of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur and the new integrated terminal building at Shirdi airport has also been laid."

In his remarks, Modi also lauded the work done by the Mahayuti government in Maharashtra over the past few years, highlighting infrastructure development such as metro expansion and airport upgrades. "Metro is being expanded, and airports are being upgraded in Maharashtra. Various schemes related to infrastructure, solar energy, and textiles are being launched in the state. The foundation of the largest container port, Vadhavan Port, was laid. Never before has Maharashtra witnessed development on such a large scale," he noted. Modi further pointed out that "under Congress rule, there was massive corruption in various sectors," and praised the central government for granting classical language status to Marathi.
