PM Modi Felicitated By NDA For ‘Operation Sindoor’ Success Amid Stalled Monsoon Session

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was felicitated on Tuesday by members of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) for the successful execution of Operation Sindoor, during a high-level meeting held at the Parliament House complex. The gathering marked the NDA's first joint parliamentary meeting during the ongoing Monsoon Session, which has been marred by a prolonged political deadlock.

The closed-door meeting, held just hours before the Parliament resumed proceedings, saw the attendance of senior Union Ministers including Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, along with all NDA Members of Parliament, whose presence was reportedly made mandatory.

PM Modi, addressing the coalition partners, was expected to elaborate on the national security significance and strategic success of Operation Sindoor, a mission the government has so far kept largely under wraps in public discourse. Sources suggest the operation involved sensitive regional coordination and marked a major win for India’s strategic interests.

The Prime Minister also reportedly used the occasion to rally the NDA leadership in the face of growing opposition pressure and to set the tone for legislative battles ahead. He underlined the importance of unity and discipline among the ruling alliance to push forward critical Bills and reforms.

The Monsoon Session, which began on July 21, has witnessed 11 consecutive sittings without the passage of a single Bill, as the Opposition continues to demand an open discussion on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar. This demand has resulted in daily disruptions in both Houses, with repeated adjournments and standoffs.
