Union Home Minister Amit Shah has directed security agencies to launch a nationwide manhunt to track down all those responsible for the deadly car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort that claimed 13 lives and injured over two dozen people on Monday evening.
In a high-level security meeting held on Tuesday, Shah reviewed the situation with top officials from the Delhi Police, National Investigation Agency (NIA), and Intelligence Bureau (IB). He instructed agencies to identify every individual involved, vowing that no one behind the terror act would escape punishment.
“Chaired review meetings on the Delhi car blast with senior officials. Instructed them to hunt down each and every culprit behind this incident. Everyone involved in this act will face the full wrath of our agencies,” Shah stated in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
The Home Minister also ordered enhanced security in all major metros, including Mumbai, Kolkata, and Lucknow, as part of precautionary measures amid heightened national alert. Forensic teams continue to examine debris collected from the blast site, while early reports suggest the use of high-grade explosives in the attack.
