Panic gripped Logix Mall in Sector 32, Noida, as a major fire erupted at the Adidas showroom on the first floor around 11 am on Friday morning. The incident, suspected to have been triggered by a short circuit, led to the immediate deployment of ten fire tenders to the scene.
Chief Fire Officer Pradeep Chaubey of Noida Fire Department said to HT, "The fire alarm system within the mall alerted our department promptly, allowing us to mobilize our resources swiftly. Upon arrival, we discovered flames emanating from the Adidas showroom. Our firefighters utilized saw cutters to access the shuttered shop and commenced firefighting operations."
Fortunately, proactive measures by mall security and management ensured the evacuation of approximately 50 individuals before the situation escalated. "The mall's firefighting alarm system effectively notified and guided the evacuation process. By the time our teams arrived, all personnel were safely outside, minimizing the risk of any injuries," Chaubey confirmed.

The intensity of the fire prompted a robust response from emergency services, who managed to bring the situation under control by 12:30 pm. "Our teams worked diligently to contain the fire and prevent its spread to neighboring establishments. Thankfully, due to prompt action and coordination, we managed to mitigate potential damages," Chaubey added.
Logix Mall, a popular shopping destination in Noida known for its diverse range of retail outlets, temporarily closed operations following the incident. Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the cause of the fire, focusing primarily on electrical faults as the likely trigger.
"We are cooperating fully with the authorities to ascertain the exact cause of the fire and to implement any necessary safety measures going forward," stated a spokesperson for Logix Mall management.
As the clean-up and assessment continue, patrons and business owners await updates on when the mall will resume normal operations. For now, the incident serves as a reminder of the importance of robust fire safety protocols in commercial establishments.
