Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has assured swift action against the assailant involved in the attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan at his Mumbai residence. Speaking to the media on Friday, Fadnavis, who also holds the Home Department portfolio, expressed confidence in the police's efforts, stating that several important clues had already been gathered in the ongoing investigation.

"The police are actively working on the case and have collected key leads. I am confident that the criminal will be apprehended soon," CM Fadnavis said. The attack took place late on Wednesday night when an intruder entered Saif Ali Khan’s Bandra home and stabbed the actor, leaving him critically injured.

The Mumbai Police have formed over 30 teams to track down the assailant. Key individuals, including Saif's wife, actress Kareena Kapoor, have been questioned as part of the investigation. Kareena's statement was recorded on Friday evening at her residence, with the police continuing their efforts to gather information.

This incident has raised alarm over celebrity safety in Mumbai, coming on the heels of other high-profile cases, such as the murder of Baba Siddiqui and a shooting incident at actor Salman Khan's residence. As investigations progress, the public and Saif Ali Khan's fans anxiously await updates.
