The INDIA bloc, a coalition of opposition parties, is gearing up to present adjournment motions on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) in both houses of Parliament this Friday. This strategic decision emerged from a meeting of the bloc's floor leaders, held at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge's residence in the national capital.
According to reports, if a discussion on the NEET issue is not permitted, the INDIA bloc leaders plan to hold a protest inside the House. "Several issues were discussed today in the meeting. There will be a debate on all the issues in Parliament, whether it is the President's address or the election of the Speaker," Congress leader Jairam Ramesh told ANI.
DMK MP T Siva confirmed the bloc's determination, stating, "We will give notices (in Parliament) on the NEET issue tomorrow."
The opposition coalition is unified in its approach, intending to address multiple pressing issues in Parliament. "The opposition is united and it will raise the issues of NEET, Agniveer, inflation, unemployment, and MSP (Minimum Support Price) in the Parliament," said Hanuman Beniwal, President of the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party.
Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi emphasized the bloc's commitment to highlighting critical national concerns. "All the burning issues of the country, we will raise them in the Parliament," she asserted.
As the opposition prepares to bring these motions, the upcoming parliamentary sessions promise to be charged with vigorous debates and potential protests, reflecting the intensity of the current political climate.
