A Jaguar fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed near Bhanoda village in Rajasthan’s Churu district around 12:40 pm on Wednesday, triggering a swift emergency response in the region.

According to Rajaldesar SHO Kamlesh, the aircraft went down in an agricultural field, sending shockwaves through the local community. “Human remains have been recovered from the crash site,” he confirmed, indicating that at least one fatality has occurred. Another body was also retrieved from nearby Ratangarh, though authorities have not confirmed whether it is connected to the crash.

While the cause of the crash is still under investigation, officials noted that the nearest operational airbase is the Suratgarh Air Force Station — a key military installation in the region known for its strategic importance and rapid deployment capabilities.
