In a significant political development, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Friday administered the oath of office to a newly restructured council of ministers at the Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar. The ceremony, aligned with the auspicious Vijay Muhurat, was presided over by Governor Acharya Devvrat, who administered the oath of office and secrecy to all members.
The expanded council now comprises 26 ministers, including the Chief Minister himself, marking a combination of experienced leaders and fresh faces. Harsh Sanghvi has been entrusted with the role of Deputy Chief Minister, signaling continuity and stability within the state leadership. Among the newcomers, Rivaba Jadeja, Arjun Modhwadia, and Kantilal Amrutiya have joined the cabinet, bringing a mix of youth and fresh perspectives to the administration. Notably, cricketer Ravindra Jadeja was present to support his wife Rivaba, who took oath as a minister from Jamnagar North constituency.
This new formation comes after the resignation of the previous council of ministers, excluding CM Patel. Party officials described this as a “strategic reset” aimed at strengthening governance, ensuring better regional representation, and injecting new energy into the state administration.
