A series of powerful explosions rattled Lahore early on Thursday morning, local sources reported. The blasts followed a high-profile Indian military operation the previous day, Operation Sindoor, which targeted terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Eyewitnesses reported hearing at least three distinct explosions across the city, with some claiming the blasts occurred near significant landmarks such as Lahore's Navy War College, Walton Road, and even near Lahore Airport. Video footage shared on social media captured scenes of widespread panic as residents rushed to take cover in the wake of the blasts.

According to India Today, smoke was visibly rising from areas affected by the explosions. Authorities in Lahore have yet to confirm any casualties or damage from the blasts, with no immediate reports of injuries. However, the blasts have further heightened tension in the region, already strained after India's Operation Sindoor, which involved precision airstrikes on key terrorist infrastructure.

The strikes on Wednesday targeted nine terror camps affiliated with Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in both Pakistan and PoK. One of the most significant hits was on the Markaz Subhan Allah complex in Bahawalpur, where JeM leader Masood Azhar's family members, along with some close aides, were reportedly killed. At LeT's headquarters in Muridke, the airstrike left extensive damage, disrupting the group's operations.

The operation, described as a direct response to the April 22 Pahalgam attack, which claimed 26 lives, including a Nepali citizen, has led India to take strong diplomatic measures. In the aftermath, India downgraded its diplomatic relations with Pakistan, suspended the Indus Waters Treaty, and imposed a trade ban.
