Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, delivered a fiery statement on India’s economic future, asserting that the nation is on an unstoppable trajectory to become a $30 trillion economy by 2047, up from the current $4 trillion. Speaking to a packed audience, Goyal emphasized that this ambitious growth is fueled by the collective resolve of 1.4 billion Indians and the decisive guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“In a highly volatile and uncertain global environment, despite geopolitical risks, India grew at 7.8% in Q1. This is not accidental—it happens because we have strong leadership, a clear vision, and an unwavering commitment to progress,” Goyal stated.
He highlighted India’s democratic strength, rule of law, vibrant media, and robust parliamentary system, noting that these factors provide global investors comfort and confidence. “The world sees India as a fair and equal partner. Our young population, massive consumer demand, and decisive governance make us a unique force in the global economy,” he added.
