Amid mounting criticism over the tragic Bengaluru stampede incident, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi lashed out at the Karnataka government, questioning its decision-making and accountability. He strongly criticized the administration for suspending top police officials while ignoring prior warnings.

"They have no moral authority to continue because they have suspended the police commissioner and other senior officials," said Joshi, addressing the media. "My question is — the DCP had written a letter saying that it is risky to have a function within 24 hours. On the night of June 3, RCB won the match, and the entire city was on the streets celebrating. Most unfortunately, many were in a drunken state too," he added.

Joshi alleged that the government failed to assess the situation responsibly, especially in the wake of large-scale celebrations following Royal Challengers Bengaluru's (RCB) victory in the IPL match. He pointed out that despite clear warnings from police officials about the risk of organizing a major event so soon, the state went ahead with it.

The stampede, which occurred during a public event in Bengaluru, has sparked political outrage and raised serious questions about crowd management, coordination between departments, and the safety of citizens in high-profile functions.
