After BJP's Poll Performance, Allies Nitish Kumar, Chandrababu Naidu, Eknath Shinde In Delhi For Critical NDA Talks

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu from Andhra Pradesh will go to Delhi today. They will attend a meeting of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government. The meeting is happening one day after the results of the Lok Sabha elections.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is the biggest party in the NDA alliance. Before the elections, the BJP hoped to win 370 seats on its own. With allies, they wanted over 400 seats. But the BJP did not get as many seats as they expected.

Exit polls before the elections said the NDA would easily win over 300 seats. But the actual results were lower than predicted.

Nitish Kumar has changed which alliance he supports many times before. Chandrababu Naidu's party TDP won the recent elections in Andhra Pradesh. In 2018, Naidu left the NDA alliance. But before these elections, he joined the NDA again.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde will also come for the NDA meeting. He is leaving for Delhi at 11 am today.

This meeting is important as Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu are powerful leaders. Based on the BJP's seat numbers, they may rethink their alliance with the NDA. Their decisions can impact who will form the next government.
