Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a significant two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir, marking his first trip to the region since assuming office for the third consecutive term. The visit commenced with the inauguration and kick-starting of developmental projects amounting to Rs 1,500 crore, underscoring the government's commitment to bolstering infrastructure and other crucial sectors in the region.

Addressing the gathering at the ?Empowering Youth, Transforming J&K? event held at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre in Srinagar, PM Modi emphasized the pivotal role of performance in governance. "An aspirational society has only one parameter - performance," he stated. "The country has witnessed our government's performance, leading to our re-election. This continuity sends a message of stability to the world."

Reflecting on his recent participation in the G7 Summit in Italy, PM Modi highlighted the global impact of India's political stability. "The formation of government for three consecutive terms changes our vision towards the country, and strengthens India's global relations," he affirmed.

The Prime Minister expressed his delight at visiting Jammu and Kashmir post the Lok Sabha elections and participating in projects aimed at the region's development. He praised the local administration and citizens for their warm welcome, adorned with traditional Kashmiri songs and floral greetings upon his arrival at SKICC.

PM Modi outlined the scope of the projects inaugurated, encompassing crucial sectors such as infrastructure, water supply, and education. He also inaugurated the Competitiveness Improvement in Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project (JKCIP) worth Rs 1,800 crore, aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity and allied sectors in the region.

Highlighting his itinerary for June 21, PM Modi announced his participation in the 10th International Day of Yoga event at SKICC early in the morning. "Tomorrow, I will join the Yoga Day programme in Srinagar, emphasizing the importance of holistic health and well-being," he shared on social media platform X.
